Which padel racket is right for you?
Your choice depends on your playing level, preferred weight and balance, and budget. There is no single racket for everyone. Start with our beginner padel rackets, or use this guide to compare specifications if you already have experience.

Why choosing the right racket matters
A padel racket should suit your level, preferred feel and playing style. Comfortable handling helps you develop control and enjoy the game. As the official Adidas padel importer in Israel, All For Padel Israel helps players compare equipment.
1. Racket shape
Shape is one consideration. Compare balance, weight, materials and the exact model as well.
Round
Round rackets often have a central sweet spot and a control-oriented feel. A round shape alone does not identify the playing level: both beginner and advanced models exist. The Adidas Drive range is one starting point in our beginner padel rackets.
Diamond
Diamond models may suit players who prefer attacking play. Check the specific racket's balance and weight; diamond rackets do not all feel alike. The Metalbone collection includes different versions that should be compared individually.
Allround
Allround designs offer another balance of control and power. Compare the Adidas Match range and check the intended level of each model.
2. Racket weight
Adult padel rackets commonly sit around 340–390 g, depending on the model.
- 340–360 g: relatively light; check comfort and balance.
- 360–375 g: a common specification range; suitability depends on the player and model.
- 375–390 g: heavier; check that you can manoeuvre it comfortably throughout a match.
Listed weight may exclude an overgrip, protector or additional weights. Try the racket when possible.
3. Face material
Fibreglass
Fibreglass is often used for a softer feel in beginner and intermediate rackets. Check the material of the individual model, as it can vary within a range.
Carbon
Carbon constructions appear in many advanced rackets, including Metalbone and Arrow Hit models. The complete construction determines the feel; material names alone do not tell the whole story.
4. The core
- Soft EVA: a softer-feeling core. Check the exact core specified for the product.
- Harder EVA: a firmer feel that should suit your preferences and technique.
Compare the core together with the face, weight and balance.
5. Match the racket to your level
Beginner
Prioritise comfortable handling and a forgiving response. Compare Drive and Match in our beginner padel rackets; check their different shapes and specifications.
Intermediate
Compare feel and handling as your playing style develops. Browse intermediate padel rackets.
Advanced
Advanced players can choose round control models or attacking designs. Compare individual specifications in the Metalbone collection, rather than choosing by the range name alone.
6. Adidas 2026 ranges
- Metalbone HRD+: an Ale Galán model; check its exact face and core specification.
- Arrow Hit: a range aimed at experienced players.
- Cross It: several versions with different specifications and intended levels.

Frequently asked questions
How does a padel racket differ from a tennis racket?
A padel racket has a solid, perforated face and a foam core instead of strings. Its dimensions, weight and balance differ from a tennis racket.
What weight is best for a beginner?
No single weight suits every beginner. Compare weight and balance together. Some beginner rackets weigh more than 365 g.
What is the difference between round, teardrop and diamond shapes?
Shape can influence feel, but is not enough to choose a racket. Compare weight, balance, core and face materials too.
When should I replace a racket?
There is no fixed replacement interval. Check for cracks, frame damage and changes in feel, taking usage and condition into account.
Which Adidas racket should a beginner compare first?
Drive Blue 2026 and Drive Light 2026 are useful starting points. Cross It models are not interchangeable with beginner rackets; check the exact version. Browse the Adidas padel rackets for current options.
